Senior Trainers
Scott Raymond, MS, CPDT-KA
Scott has been training dogs for over thirteen years and has helping dogs and their families with training classes and private consults for over ten years. He is a member of the Association of Pet Dog trainers (APDT) and has attended numerous seminars and conferences on dog behavior and training issues and has achieved the status of Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA). He has titled dogs in tracking and competition obedience and is also a Canine Good Citizen evaluator.
When he is not helping Behave's clients with their personal pets in Puppy Preschool, Family Dog, Reactive Rover, and Therapy Dog Skills Prep classes, Scott is training his own dogs in obedience and tracking and working on teaching them new skills and tricks.
As the Behave Class Coordinator, Scott is busy developing new classes, mentoring our training staff and designing educational media and materials to further improve our client's experiences with us. He has also been instrumental in enhancing and diversifying our Private Consultation services which use positive rewards-based techniques for both dogs and their people.
Scott and Sita (photo at left) are also a registered therapy dog team, and are participating in the Dove Lewis Animal Assisted Therapy and Education (DLATTE) program and participates in the Read to the Dogs program to help children become more confident readers. Together with his four fur-kids (Sita, Roo, Misha and Jazz) Scott helps people find solutions to dog training challenges.
