Denise Mullenix, CPDT-KA
Denise has been working professionally with dogs for over 13 years. She started her career working for a County Animal Control where she learned just how bleak the future can look for dogs with behavioral issues or breed bias'.
In 2003, she interned at Oregon Coast K-9 and completed their Dog Trainers Certification Course. After completing her internship she was hired to work in their narcotics detection, handler protection and search and rescue K-9 programs. In 2006 Denise received her Certification in Instruction of Narcotics Detection, Search and Rescue and Aggression Control from Reif's Advanced K-9 in Colorado. In the summer of 2007, she completed Randy Hare's Trainer's school for Department and Professional Trainers for Detection.
Denise is a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), is certified though the Certification Council for Pet Dog Trainers (CCPDT), and is a level one TAGteach instructor.
Denise shares her home with a Czech bred working German Shepherd Dog (Pango) and two Pit Bulls (Peaches & Flower) as well as an occasional foster dog. She trains her dogs in Obedience, Narcotics Detection, Search & Rescue and Handler Protection.
