Trainers in Development
Amber Mahoney
Amber's formal dog training education began with assisting in classes teaching people with disabilities to train their own dogs as service dogs. Her oldest dog, Chloe (photo at left) is a retired service and therapy dog and together they are currently training in the sport of K9 Nose Work.
Amber is also a member of the Association of Pet Dog trainers (APDT). She has attended the 2007 and 2009 APDT conferences as well as a number of workshops on dog training topics and is a professional dog walker with Town & Country Pet Sitting.
She is educating herself in the field of dog training through her mentoring at Behave and through instructing and assisting with our classes with a goal of becoming a Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA).
